Chapter Hxrstory
The Beta Epsilon Chapter was founded at the University of Pennsylvania in 1998 and expanded to include Temple University in 2001. For 20 years, we have worked to empower the Universal Womxn in Philadelphia through educational programming, philanthropic efforts, and professional and social mentorship. Maritza Santiago, a sister of the Iota Chapter, Spring 1992, played a key role in the development of the chapter.

We take great pride in the fact that the Beta Epsilon chapter is one of the only functioning metro-chapter nation-wide! We were also the first chapter of Lambda Theta Alpha Latin Sorority, Inc. to be founded at an Ivy League University.

Our chapter philanthropy is LTA Now- Ladies Taking Action Now. It was an initiative started by sisters from Line Nine in Fall 2010 in order to take action against domestic violence.
